Li Ruoheng was born in Beijing in 1993. She holds an MA in Contemporary Art Practice from the Royal College of Art (2023) and a BFA in Fine Art from ArtCenter College of Design (2018).
Li Ruoheng is one of the most versatile and active young artists in contemporary art. Her practice is rooted in a rich breadth of lived experience; her works reveal a search for the eternal, taking personal history as the ground of artistic expression, and uniting material qualities with subject matter into emotionally charged works. Her art has been exhibited around the world — in the United States, the United Kingdom, Spain, Israel, Colombia and China — and is held by collectors internationally for its distinctive cultural perspective and visual language.
